Supporting Our Undocumented Neighbors Event
December 8, 2024 | Noon to 1:30 pm in sanctuary and on zoom
Immigration has been a defining issue in the 2024 national elections, and the incoming administration’s plans for mass deportations put the futures of over 11 million undocumented immigrants in jeopardy. In response to this urgent matter, we invite you to join us at noon on December 8th in the UUCiL Sanctuary for this vital event.
Amy Lighter will lead the discussion and provide insights into the current and anticipated challenges faced by undocumented individuals in our community. She will highlight existing resources and programs, offer guidance on how we can contribute, and lead a brainstorming session on actionable steps UUCiL can take.
This event is about understanding the issue and actively engaging in meaningful support for our neighbors. We encourage everyone to join us in person or via Zoom. We’ll record the session for those unable to attend. Light refreshments and coffee will be served. Together, let’s make a difference and stand in solidarity with our undocumented neighbors.
