Movie Club: June’s Movie is The Sheep Detectives
The movie for June’s discussion is The Sheep Detectives. This Agatha-Christie-style mystery combines heart, humor and existential weight offering much to talk about. It is playing at the Livermore 13 and the Regal at Hacienda in Dublin, in addition to many other Bay Area theaters. We are meeting at 5pm on June 3rd at The Hick’ry…
The Unitarian Universalist Church in Livermore’s movie club meets the first Wednesday of the month for dinner and discussion of that month’s movie at Family BBQ Hick’ry Pit (1840 Portola Ave, Livermore CA) from 6 to 8 pm.
Each month, the leaders, with input from the group, pick a movie for everyone to watch on their own. Usually, the movie is being shown at The Vine (the local, independent movie theater) in Livermore or it is at least easily accessible, and is a light-hearted comedy or drama. Past selections have been: “Life of Chuck,” “The Brutalist,” and “Sing Sing.”
If you are interested in joining the movie club, please email the leaders, Craig and Kathy Seppala. They also kindly ask to let them know if you will be attending the discussion dinner, so they can let the restaurant know how many people to expect.
