Volunteer to Help UUCiL
Whatever your role in Unitarian Universalist Church in Livermore (UUCiL), we are we are so grateful that you have chosen to be with us! If you want to get more involved and make connections with others, we have many opportunities available. Depending on your level of responsibility and time commitment, you can decide which of these opportunities would be right for you to pursue!
Building and Grounds
The continuous improvement and beautification of our campus, visible to all, is overseen by the Building and Grounds Committee. The duties vary and include getting bids from contractors, fixing irrigation, and repairing aging buildings. The Committee needs people at all skill levels, but especially those who have particular knowledge of plumbing, electricity, and carpentry work. If you are interested in volunteering, please email us here with the subject of “Building and Grounds.”
Childcare
While we are currently fully staffed, we could use more volunteer childcare helpers who can step in as needed. Volunteers must be willing to pass a background check and have a live fingerprint scan. If you are interested, please email us here with the subject of “Childcare Volunteer.”
Membership and Hospitality
The Membership and Hospitality Committee is responsible for hosting and planning events to welcome new members, and attracting prospective members. Some examples include working at a booth at the Livermore Pride Fest, hosting a new-member dinner, and organizing semi-monthly concerts. Also, volunteers are always needed to bring flowers to the Sunday Services. If you have new ideas, are good at marketing, or are enthusiastic about the church, please email us here with the subject of “Membership and Hospitality Volunteer.”
Music and Choir
We are always looking for members who have musical talents and would like to perform at a Sunday Service. We invite you to contribute a song or be considered as a musical guest on Sundays when the choir is not performing. All are welcome to sign up—no commitment required! If you are interested, please email us with the subject of “Musical Guest.”
