Caring is More than Words

Caring is more than words, it is action. And our church acts in many ways. Our Caring and Concern Committee facilitates us caring for one another, we share our Sunday basket collections with local service agencies, our vegetable garden helps feed those who are food insecure and our Social Justice Committee provides us opportunities to support democracy and the inherent worth and dignity of all.

We need to continue to show our caring for our unhoused neighbors. We did a great job providing warm clothing in the winter months, but the need for shirts, tees, shorts, pants, socks, shoes, continues albeit warm weather appropriate garments. Also needed are cans of fruit, soup, protein bars and other food items that a person without a kitchen or electricity can eat.

Go through your closets for items you no longer wear and when at the market pick up something for those that may be hungry. Place them in the bins in the back of the sanctuary.
