Speaker: Carolina Dickinson
Upon graduating from my State teaching job of 15 years, I wanted an active community life that also encompassed spirituality . I found that at UUCiL and became a member in March of 2010. Soon after I join the Worship Service Committee. We found people to speak when the minister was not available. Sometimes one of us was in the pulpit. Over the years I gave several homilies. We were also responsible for being the worship associate on Sundays. Later, I and my husband joined the teen advisor as additional adult support which we enjoyed very much. After Covid our attendance went down. In 24 I revied the Membership Committee and today we have new members. I passed on the chair to another capable women. Now I’m a supportive member finding the talent for our 5th Sunday events. Also I belong to the Social Justice Book group and the Movie Group, all meet once a month. Over the years I’ve been a choir member for a couple of years. I’m enjoying our new minister and the classes she offers.
