Chloë Shackley helped her husband with his fire alarm business and raised four children. Her strong desire to work with children led to taking classes and workshops so she could help children more. She earned a Montessori Certificate and started day care for children 6 weeks to 2 years. But they didn’t want to leave, so she expanded lessons and kept “her babies” up to kindergarten, and beyond for school vacations. Her last “baby” is a sophomore in college. Some of them get together with Chloë a few times per year. Chloë continues to learn about child development and enjoys working with our children through Religious Education at UUCiL She is currently a widow and lives in a retirement community.
