Rev. Eric Meter served UUCiL as its minister from 1997-2007. And, after serving our sibling congregations in Columbus Ohio and Ottawa, Canada, Rev. Eric is back in the area serving the Starr King UU Church in Hayward. After leaving the Tri-Valley, he focused on pastoral care and social justice in Ohio before serving as the lead minister in Ottawa. Yet the winters there were long, and he felt called to return to the U.S. to do what he could to restore our democracy.
This morning Rev Eric Meter reflects on what he has learned, and still has to learn, during his nearly thirty years in parish ministry about communities of faith and the myriad ways of love.
