“The Necessity of Narrative Diversity”

From the national to the personal level, it can sometimes feel hard to find agreed upon “truths” about our shared stories. From national arguments over how our country’s history should be taught in schools, to dinnertime disagreements about certain parts of our family history, we can often find ourselves disagreeing about the best way to tell certain stories. In this service, we’ll explore ways we might learn to live productively with a diversity of stories, without giving in to harmful and exclusionary ones.
